Re: Adrenal Gland CarcinomaI'm so sorry to hear about your situation. My mother has adrenal gland cancer and so far they are trying a chemotherapy pill called SUTENT. We haven't been on it very long but it has a long list of complications and side effects. She goes to the CTCA at Tulsa, OK. She is a 7 yr survivor due to their help. She has the type of cancer that spreads from organ to organ until it completely takes over her body. She has had Kidney Cancer and they took it out but left the adrenal gland in, so now it has spread to the adrenal gland and she is on that chemo pill now. It is very expensive but they are calling it the mircle drug for Renal Cell Cancer. She is low income so the CTCA staff helped her get help through the pharmacutical company and she receives it free. Normally, it cost $7200.00 for 28 pills so they have helped us out alot. We have alot of trust and faith in GOD and in the CANCER TREATMENT CENTERS OF AMERICA IN TULSA OLKAHOMA, and with all that trust and faith we have gotton 7 more years of life with my mother and hopefully and faithlly believing in GOD, we will have alot more years to come. You can contact them at [moderator note: website address has been removed] or at [moderator note: phone number has been removed]. My prayers are with you and I believe that you can and will be healed by the grace of GOD. They will fly you and a caregiver ( be your spouse, child or friend) for free for the first time to tell you how they can help you. If you haven't given them a try , I would because you are not loosing out on anything with the free trip and all. If you have any questions you can write me back anytime. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOU WILL BE IN MY PRAYERS.!!
Re: Adrenal Gland CarcinomaI HAVE BEEN DX WITH ADRENIAL CORTICAL CARCINOMA AT AGE 39 IN MAY OF 2007. SHOCK- SUCH A RARE CANCER AND HARDLEY NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT IT, SEVERAL SYMTOMS STARTED . I READ A ARTICAL IN READERS DIGEST ABOUT WEIGHT GAIN. DX WAS CUSHINGS SYNDROM. I ASKED TO BE TESTED FOR THIS. EVERYTHING TURNED UP ABNORMAL SO A CT SCAN OF KIDNEYS WERE DONE AND TUMOR WAS FOUND . I DONT WANT TO BRING ANYONE DOWN BUT UNFORTUNATLEY CHEMO PILL MITOTANE, CHEM IV THERAPY AND 2 SURGERIES HAVE NOT HELPED. 1ST SURGERY ONLY ADRENAL GLAND WAS REMOVED. HOW I WISH THE KIDNEY HAD BEEN. 6WEEKS LATER WE FOUND OUT ANOTHER TUMOR WAS THERE AND WE NEED TO HAVE 2ND SURGERY TO REMOVE KIDNEY, SPLEEN AND TIP OF PANCREASE. WE RESEARCHED AND ENDED UP AT U OF MICHIGAN. WONDERFUL PLACE I RECOMMEND. SURGERY WAS SCHEDULED THERE. WHEN THYE OPENED ME UP THEY SAID NOTHING COULD BE DONE THAT THERE WERE TUMORS THROUGH OUT MY ABDOMEN CAVITY. WE CAME HOME AND STARTED CHEMO AND THEN WE WENT ON TO RADIATION AFTER CHEMO DIDN'T RESPOND. RADIATION WAS HARD BUT IT SEEMED TO HELP SOME. I HAD 4WEEKS OF RADIATION MINUS 2 TREATMENTS. IT WAS TAKING ITS TOLL ON ME. KNOWING MY PROGNOSIS I WANTED TO HAVE A GOOD CHRISTMAS WITH MY FAMILY . I DID!! AFTER NO TREATMENT FOR 2 WEEKS I STARTED TO FEEL BETTER. I HAD LAB WORK DONE JUST THIS PAST 2WEEKS, ALL LABS WERE NORMAL. ONLY GOOD NEWS WE HAVE HAD SINCE MAY 2007. I AM MARRIED TO MY HUSBAND OF 18 YEARS. 2 SONS AGE 16 AND 13. IT IS SO HARD FOR THEM AND THEY ARE ALL I THINK ABOUT. I AM FEELING A LOT BETTER NOW AND ABLE TO EAT. WHICH IS WONDERFUL. I UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH. I DONT WANT THIS TO UPSET YOU BUT I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE SOMEONE OTHER THAN FAMILY TO CHAT WITH. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO RESPOND PLEASE DUE. I HAVE HAD SO MUCH SUPPORT THROUGH FAMILY AND COMMUNITY. PRAYERS HAVE HELPED A LOT. PRAYING FOR YOU

Re: Adrenal Gland Carcinomayes one of my friend is suffering from Adrenal Gland Carcinoma thats why i can understand your condition.I am giving full detail about Adrenal Gland Carcinoma may be it will help you.
Adrenal cancer is a rare disease that originates in the adrenal glands. The adrenal glands are located on top of the kidneys and consist of two parts that function separately. The first part is referred to as the cortex (outer layer). The second part is referred to as the medulla (inner area). Nearly all adrenal tumors are benign (non-cancerous) and therefore do not require treatment. Adrenal cancer - Signs and Symptoms Although highly unlikely, because those diagnosed rarely exhibit symptoms, it is possible to experience the following: * Fever * Abdominal mass * Weight loss * Abdominal pain * Always feeling full Adrenal Cancer Treatment Options There are various treatment options for adrenal cancer. One of the most commonly used treatment options for adrenal cancer is surgery. There are four types of surgery that can be performed to remove both benign and malignant adrenal cancer tumors. The procedure your doctor will use will depend on the type and size of the tumor and also your individual needs. * Posterior Surgery - typically used to remove small, benign tumors, your doctor will make an incision in your back just above the kidneys. * Transabdominal Surgery - in this procedure, an incision is made in your abdomen so the doctor can inspect nearby blood vessels and organs for any signs of cancer. It also allows your doctor to remove any nearby tissue that might be directly involved with the tumor. * Thoracoabdominal Surgery - this is usually the procedure of choice if you a large, malignant adrenal tumors. Your doctor will make a large incision around the cancerous area so he/she has an expanded view of the tissue that surrounds the tumor. * Laparoscopic Adrenalectomy - in this procedure, a fiber optic scope is inserted through a tiny incision made by your doctor in your abdominal cavity. It is a less invasive procedure and therefore generally causes less pain than other approaches. Thankfully most adrenal cancers can be removed using this technique. Radiation therapy is also a treatment option for some adrenal cancer patients. The high-energy rays used in radiation therapy destroy cancerous cells and reduce the tumor's size. It is most often utilized for adrenal cancer that has already started to spread. It is also a treatment that be used in conjunction with chemotherapy.
