People do get better. As far as outcomes that would be based on the specific pathology and the stage of the disease. We wish your Mom well.

Hello. I am really sorry to hear about your dilema. I have joined this site today in desperation because I am about to go through the same as you it seems. My mum had her adreinal gland removed on Fri and now I am wondering what to expect as the doctors smile politely and say you can go home now. That's it. So now what can I expect? Please help. I don't want to lose my mum and have forced her onto a vegetarian diet because I feel helpless in every other way.

I don't know if people get better with adrenal cancer, but my Aunt has been battling it for the last four years.

I joined this site also to get more information and find out things that the doctors don't always say.

The most important thing is to find out what stage it is.

Best of luck.

Thanks for that. I hope your aunt is ok. I get scared every day for mum. I did read about a man in Australia who lived for 40 years after having his adrenal removed. I wish there were more people to support us on here. For example. When people have to have a kidney removed, does the adrenal automatically get removed at the same time, (because it sits on top)? If so that would mean there are a lot more people walking around who have had the same op.

Just curious, I hope you are coping anyway and I'm sorry for your aunt and the terrible time she is going through.

Andrea.

I wish there was more people out their sharing their story. I posted something called "my aunt needs help" and mentioned somethings she was and is going thru. I read if it is local then it is ok but once it starts to spread is when it become more serious. I would assume they would take the adrenal right away...like the first surgery. My aunts first surgery they took some. They took her kidney the second surgery. Sometimes it doesn't make sense.

How is your mom?
