Bladder Cancer

Hi, my name is Chris. I’m a 56-year old male who just had his bladder cancer confirmed yesterday. I am scheduled for TURB tomorrow. My initial symptom was hematuria and after an IVP and urine cytology it was determined that I had urothelial carcinoma cells in my urine. The cystoscope I had yesterday showed four tumors. Thus, tomorrow they will hopefully be removed and I can get on the road to recovery.

I to just found out that I have BC. I will have surgery on February 1st 2008 at Wakemed Hospital in Cary North Carolina. I am 70 year old white male

My husband, 58 was just diagnosed Feb 14th. with BC. Please tell me how you are doing and what was done for you. We are very frightened.

I just wanted to pass along that you need to keep you faith and take one day at a time. My husband and I found out on Thursday that his cancer is back. It has been five years since the last time. He goes for surgery on the 4th. We have gone through the why me's, bitterness, and did we really hear you rights. These things don't make sense but he made it through the 1st time and that alone you can find strength in! You can also believe that he will make it through this the 2nd time too! Our prayers are with you as you go through this! We pray that the surgery will rid you of the tumors and that will be it with no return of them!! Be strong and keep your faith!

I was had a bladder tumor in 1974 which was removed with good results. Now, after 30 some years it has returned and I am faced with losing my bladder. I hope you will continue to monitor your situation and be tested often, which I did not do.
