Am going to get BCG therapy, which sounds scary; live TB virus injected into catheter. Anyone endure this? Did you have problems afterwards which prevented you from doing normal activities? We have a couple weekend vacations and out of town weddings to attend and I am concerned I will be sick due to treatment and will have to miss them. I would love to hear experiences.

My doctor said it only took 5 minutes but booklet he gave indicates 2 hours of laying down, and strict cleaning restrictions afterwards for 6 hours. Again would love to hear experiences.

I haven't discussed sex with my doc or anyone, I hurt too much to even think about it. Would love to hear from others if and when they were able to lead normal lives, including sex lives.

Lastly, urine is finally not bloody, just not much there. I worry that much of what I am drinking to try to urinate is still in my body and I am damaging my kidneys.

BCG is actually partially killed virus so the chance of getting TB is extremely small. You will have some urgency and frequency for a few days after instillation. Sex is not an issue with BCG although based on the inflammation it causes in your bladder (good thing) you may not feel like having it until th inflammation subsides, a few days to a week. I wouldn't worry about your kidneys, good luck.
