brother-in-law matastisized bladder cancer

Post a new topicby Lightning on Mon Mar 31, 2008 5:47 pm

My brother-in-law has bladder cancer Two months ago they removed the bladder and created a new one for him. Last Wednesday they discovered the cancer has spread to his lungs, multiple spots. They say it is a rapid spreading cancer. We are looking for treatment options but the family does not want to put him through a lot if it is just going to prolong his life a short while. Is there any treatment that has a good success ratio of defeating and healing this kind of cancer? I know what the statistics are, 5% like him live for 2 years. I know the prognosis is not good. I just want to know if anyone knows of a treatment that has good success at putting this type of cancer in remission? Thank you for your help.
