Bladder Cancer

Well...I am 37 F...I have SLE and Sjogrens...about 9 months ago my Rheumy put me on Imuran...three months into therapy I developed my first ever UTI...since I didnt understand the inital signals of infection, my UTI progressed to a 24hr hosipital stay with Cipro IV...following this I have began reconizing the warning signs and just calling my family doc for Cipro so to avoid the "full out" infection as I had before...Since then I have become incontenent...well...when I get the urge ( about three x's an hour) I have about a min or two before I have an accident...My family doc attribbuted it to the horrid infection and bladder weakness from it...So...now when I begin sypmtoms...I take cipro...
So I havent been back to the dr. for any UTI in last 5 months..
I went to the Rheumy yesterday..a new one...and in a standard urinary test, I had 2+ blood in my urine but no WBC or Bacteria...weird becuase I thought I was getting yet another UTI as I, oddly enough, smell blood in my urine when I began UTI's before...the tell tell smell began again the other day and when my Rheumy told me with my documented incontence, urgency, and hemturia, I had to be screen ASAP for bladder cancer ..
I am beyond scared...the Cytoxins I have been on are known to cause this form of cancer ....and I am afraid that I may have this..:( All the symptoms match me to a T....and iwth my history of Lupus and Cytoxic drugs...I am scared to my bones...
I am a very active mother of two ( single mother at that) and the thought of neobladders etc is just beyond anything I can imagine...
Some one mentioned to me I could have cystitis but I have no WBC or Bacteria in my labs ...or urine..:(
