FISH test relevanceI had a tumor removed from my bladder 5 years ago. The procedure was followed by cystoscopy exam every 6 months. I also had ultrasound and CAT scans this past month. All results were free of cancer. My doctor always ordered FISH: fluorescence in situ hubridization at each check up. The recent one showed abnormal DNA patterns. The doctor wants to do a biopsy even though nothing was seen in cysto, CAT, and ultrasound exams.
Does anyone have experience with FISH? Is it a useful test? Frank
