groin pain during chemoMy husband was Dx May of 07 with Stage4 BC. Last year underwent Gemcitibine and Cisplatin w/o many side effects, other than ups and downs with white and red blood counts. Due to that tho, he missed a session or two and has subsequent metastasis to his liver. It was recommended he undergo a TURB. This being done in Dec of 07. His urologist removed 85% of the primary bladder tumor and he has returned to care of oncologist and will begin third cycle of 4 of MVAC chemo. He was pretty sick first cycle, but second had little problems. Meds take care of mouth sore, nausea. Still has ups and downs with blood counts, but oncologist is more aggressive with that now. I fear his tumor is growing while on chemo Surely the TURB would not cause groin pain at 3 months post-surgery. Could that be the case? The pain isn't all day; but develops later in the day at a level 3 to a level 5. Oncologist wants to complete the 4 cycles of chemo and then re-scan (CT and PET). Each week husband is examined. Oncologist presses on bladder area and there is no pain when he does. Liver is not enlarged. Again, I fear this may tumor growing. Anyone heard of this or have any insight into this? Thank you.
