Bladder Cancer

my father is going to have a cystoscopy with a biopsy next week. This is based on suspicious cells in the urology report. He has already had a CT scan of the bladder. The scan showed no abnormalities. Additionally the blood tests were normal.
Is it possible to do a CT scan of the kidney? Should that be done before the more invasive procedure is performed? Thanks.
