scared its backI had a 3cm tumor removed the 1st week of oct.non invase. I go back to Dr in Jan. to get another scope. My ? is how soon can the tumors return? I feel as if i did before i had sugery,but at this time i dont have the blood in urine that is the only difference.Is it common for tumors to come back fast?My DR want me to come every 3mons. for the first year,I think because the type i have does come back.If anyone can give me any insite on this please & thanks again Sheilac p.s if tumor does return does anyone have info on chemo and when you should receive it.
Re: scared its backI understand how you feel as I return for my first post-surgical cystoscope in January too. I have no answers but hope all will go well for you.

It is normal to have cysto every 3 months for first year after surgery. If no new tumors are found, you will go to 6 months, then one year. I made it through the first two, 3 month cystos, when new tumors appeared. Had BCG treatment at that time, after surgery, but it returned again 6 months later. Had surgery and BCG again. Then mitimyacin. Am finally 2 years tumor free and just went to once a year cystos. I am very happy that they were so careful about rechecking as often as they did, as mine returned twice during the first year after diagnosis.
