I had a cystocele and rectocele 3 years ago for stress incontinence. I never had any pain from the procedure and It helped some for awhile. However, for the past year I have had to wear Depends or pads all the time. Every time I cough I urinate and unfortunately I cough a lot. Occasionally I have leakage without coughing and sometimes I have urgency incontinence. I have been on Vesicare for about 6 months. Is there anything I can do to improve the quality of my life in this regard? Is there possibly some new treatment I have not heard about? What percentage of women are cured by the operations I had? My doctor got married and moved within the year following my surgery. I saw her replacement once or twice but she was unable to help me. English was her second language and this may account for some failure of communication both from and to me.
