Bladder Control

I use Oxytrol Patch for overactive bladder Now I have a bladder infection. Didn't know I did. Just my routine 3 mos. visit. I've been taking Bactrim for 2 days and drinking tons of water. Last night I was peeing every 2 hours and about that much today. When I go it's usually quite a bit. I have the feeling now that I keep having to go and some spasms in the urethra area and discomfort in the lower pelvic/bladder area. I'm wondering if I'm drinking too much water which is causing the spasms and irritating the bladder and urethra because of my overactive bladder . Has anyone else had a bladder infection and overactive bladder at the same time? I'm sure there is but what could be causing this discomfort and what can I do to relieve it?

Am I finally feeling the discomfort of the bladder infection (but why after 2 days of Bactrim and no pain on the onset) or it drinking too much water causes the discomfort? Or is it something else? And, most importantly, what can I do to relieve it?
