How long will I need to be treated with Botox for OAB

Post a new topicby fram on Wed Oct 01, 2008 10:59 am

Hi,
I am a life-long sufferer of bladder control problems: primary enuresis (never been dry at night) and OAB for last 20 years. Much to my great relief, treatment for my OAB with Botox has been very successful. I am now coming to the end of my 2nd round of Botox and it is starting to wear off. So I'll see my urologist next week for planning of the next round.
A little thought just occured to me as I re-read around the internet about Botox for the bladder: Does anybody know whether (given that it is so successful) this will need to be repeated every 6 months until old age or will there eventually be a settling down of the bladder after a few rounds, leading to permanent remission?
Thanks.
