I had a TUNA about a year ago. I am still having a problem with urinary retention, incomplete voiding,. Now the physician is recommending lasser surgery? Am I going in the right direction? No pun intended

Did your urologist say why the TUNA didn't give you the results you both were hoping for? I would be
really sure the laser TURP is the right thing to do before I jumped into it, because there is no going back on these TURP procedures. You most likely will have retrograde ejaculation and perhaps other side-effects, so discuss this with your doctor before you agree to anything. In your case, I wouldn't be afraid to get another opinion. What can it hurt? PS> my laser TURP is well-documented on this site if you want to know more. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I am not sure of relevance but, I have a constipation problem as a result of side effect of a medication I am on. I do not know if this can contribute to the bladder problem

And I don't know about that either, although a lot of medicine certainly can have an effect on a lot of things. I think this one is better answered by your doctor, who really should know all the medications you are taking, and then decide if one or more of them could be causing a problem there.

Thanks . I got the urologist to call me back, amazing. He said that constitpation could be a factor but it would not account for the amount of urine left in my bladder
