Help me!

In Nov. 2006 I had TURP surgery. After 2 months I was still having severe pain in the prostate and urethra. My Dr. assured me this pain would go away. Two months later it still had not improved so my Dr. went back into the prostate and cleaned out any tissue that might be causing my problems. The pain from this point continued to increase. It became almost unbearaable. I consulted with other (6) urologists who shrugged their shoulders, not sure what was causing the problem or how to correct it. Most all agreed it had to be nerve damage from the laser. After several more months I finally started with a Pain Mgt. Physician who placed me on Oxycontin and Percocet. These drugs provided short spurts of relief. After being on these drugs for about 6 months the decision was made to place a spinal cord stimulator in my back in hopes that it would control the pain and I could get off the miserable narcotic drugs. This surgery was unsuccessful as were the next two attempts to again try placing a stimulator. A final attempt was made to manage the pain with the insertion of a morphine pump. This too was unsuccessful. The original TURP surgery has been a life changing event. I cannot sit or drive because of the intense pain. I am limited to the length of time I can stand. It has now been 2 1/2 years. I am reaching out not only to warn others about the possible complications of the TURP surgery but to also see if there is the possibility that someone else has experienced similar complications. I would be willing to place anyone with knowledge of how to rectify the problem that I have on my future Christmas card list!!! I am desperate to regain my life back - I'm only 60! Please email me with any knowledge you might have to [moderator note: e-mail address has been removed] or [moderator note: e-mail address has been removed] or on this web site as well. Regards...
