Hi - I have hematospermia which has worsened over the last 4 months, from very slight coloration, to the end of the ejaculation being almost entirely blood, to the entire ejaculate now being blood. No other symptoms, urine clear, PSA fine, but Levaquin didn't help.

While on the Levaquin, I wasn't masturbating much and had two clear ejaculations. But two days ago, I was ejaculating with a partner, felt a slight sensation of something 'giving', and then the rest of the ejaculate was blood. Another ejaculation that night, and one the next day, were both entirely blood, the most yet. (There is no 'off' odor to the blood/semen).

So my questions are, what is the significance of the blood being at the very end, and does this sound like a burst blood vessel? I do take Cialis recreationally, and massage my prostate when I masturbate or have sex (which is frequent), so perhaps there is a lot of pressure building to make the vessels more susceptible? If abstaining would help it heal, how long should I abstain for?

I just read your post, and went to GOOGLE and typed in "hematospermia causes" and clicked on the first thing that came up. There appear to be a lot of causes of what you have going on. You might find some of the sites worth reading, but myself....I would let my urologist determine exactly what it was.
