What next?33 years ago, I had to have surgery to reposition my urethra on my bladder because I keep having blockage backing up to my kidneys. Back then the testing was extremely uncomfortable. They used bigger catheters and no Lidicane. Now I am 41. This past March, I had to go to the hospital since I had a fever of 102.2 and rising for 15hrs with abdominal pain. After several tests, CT, MRI and blood work up they informed me I had an infection. My white blood count was 24k and my white blood count in my urine was x 6. Both off the charts. I was sent to the urologist Since my infection was so sever, and the hospital did not grow a culture to see what bacteria it was, he did not want to examine me until it was under control. Another two weeks of taking antibiotics past before my next visit. He did the cystiscope view along with the PSA test. He sat me down and told me that I had the old man syndrome and red spots on my bladder. He mentioned it could be flat cell cancer. My PSA came back as 1.5. I took Flowmax and Levaquin. I had absolutely no energy. I've taken Lavaquin before with no problems. Then after 6 weeks, my face looked like a 16yr with acne due to the Flowmax. I was having a reaction to Flomax. I spoke to my Dr and the next step was to stop taking the meds and the next step would be a microwave treatment (Thermatix Microwave Thermotherapy Treatment for the BPH).
I had this procedure in July. When I went back for the 3 day followup, I asked while he was mesuring the size he needed, I asked if I had cancer and he said it in a way just to answer the question. I went back in August and felt GREAT. Now it's been over 4 months, and I've been having "an ache" towards my rectum and it some times hurts to have an orgasm and aches afterwards for an hr. I'm having slow void and pull and stretch out to ensure nothing is left. I've dribbeled in my pants before several time after voiding even though I've shaked, pulled, tugged, and tucked back in my pants. I have an apt with my Dr. this Thursday and I need to know what my next options are. Or what questions I need to ask. I would rather take nature medication but I will do whatever it takes. I don't want to have "the surgery" yet. Any ideas, suggestions, questions to present would be greatly appreciated.
