What should we do? AnswerIt has been more than a week now and my husband went to the doctor last Tues. He was diagnosed with prostatitis and given an antibiotic. It is absolutely amazing how quickly he has recovered in those 10 days. Between having the TUNA in March, having a pulled hamstring during that recovery and the prostatitis it is something he wouldn't wish on anyone. But at least if you're ever in the same situation, just know that you are not alone and the simple answer might just be the antibiotics. After the TUNA, he took them for 5 days and we think if he had taken them longer, some of the pain might have been avoided. He is now sleeping at night for 2-3 hours at a time, having decent stretches between going to the bathroom during the day and very little pain.
Re: What should we do? AnswerGlad to hear your husband is getting some relief from his symptoms! Yes, antibiotics can do wonders for prostatitis, but I have heard many people say they either did not work right away or they had to take them for a month or two to completely get rid of it.......so.......I think it's accurate to say once again, people are different in this regard. Or at least they can be. But, the important thing is that it worked for him and I'm very happy to hear that. Good work!
