My question is regarding getting an accurate PSA. Since my husb has BPH ( is not really causing trouble), large enough it noticed during a colonoscopy years ago, I would like to know how long he should wait after his next colonoscopy to get most accurate PSA result. I would also like to know if any or factors should be considered. Thank r consideration.

Vigorous massage from a colonoscope might increase the PSA for up to 48 hours and some small studies have shown a similar occasional PSA spike after ejaculation (although larger studies have not). PSA is not an exact test for prostate cancer and has a great deal of benign variation in some men.
