Not fully circumcisedI am an adult male who was circumcised when I was a baby. Once I reached puberty and began having erections I noticed what I believe is not a fully circumcised penis. To describe this in detail through words will take a bit of typing. To explain, I will talk about the head of the penis or the "mushroom" and the shaft of the penis. To make it easier, I will talk about and erect penis. Imagine you are standing up and looking down at your erect penis. You have the mushroom pointed out and the shaft leading down to the base. At the bottom of the mushroom you have a "connection" where the msuhroom connects to the shaft ( I am describing the skin). Around the base of the mushroom is the ridge(valley) that separates it from the shaft. This is pretty much your standard penis. Mine, however, has one difference. There is a piece of skin connecting the mushroom to the shaft that I am looking down at. It is not the same "standard" connection that occurs at the base of the mushroom. This looks like the doctor did not fully cut all the way around. It would be like staring the cut, going about 2/3 of the way around, picking up the scalpel, moving about 1/8 of an inch, then cutting again until done. Maybe I moved as a baby while he was doing it. What it results in is an erection that is held tight by pulling that piece of skin taught and stopping the erection. Has anyone ever heard of this condition? If so, is there something I can do about it?
Re: Not fully circumcisedWhat you seem to be describing is an adhesion or "skin bridge." Circumcisions are not always 100% successful- how do you know when you have removed too much or too little skin on a penis? You may have one of the more common circumcision problems where some remaining skin has attached itself to your glans. This can be corrected surgically. If that is bad news, then just think if your mother's doctor had cut off too much skin! Find a good urologist and I'm sure everything will be fine.
