Worried about the operation???

Post a new topicby ken24265 on Sun Jul 26, 2009 7:58 am

I was admitted into hospital tue 21/7/09 for my operation. I was admitted a day early due to me having type 1 diabetes so they could monitor my blood sugar levels. During my stay i had the freedom to wander round the hospital to take my mind off the operation as i was extremely worried about the op. I had never had an op before so i hated the thought of going under the knife. Next day they came for me, I was still unsure about the procedure & knew i still had the option of opting out, however i went through with the op. I was put to sleep & the next thing i remember was waking up in recovery. I was then taken back to the ward ( with no pain ) & was up & about within an hour of coming back to the ward. I have now been home 3 days & have had no pain, swelling or bleeding & the wound is healing up very nicely. I now know that i worried for no reason at all. I read a lot of comments about the procedure & now wished that i didn't as it caused all the worry. My advice is go ahead with the op & be worry & stress free.
