Nerves in neck - damage visible with MRI?

Post a new topicby Guest on Sat Jun 08, 2002 8:46 am

I recently had 2 lymph nodes removed from my neck as they were enlarged. Since then I have been in tremendous pain, and am unable to lift my arm fully. MRI scan showed that there is nothing wrong - can MRI show damage to nerves? Particularly the spinal accessory nerve? I am unsure what I can do to obtain the correct treatment - has anyone else experienced problems following Lymph node biopsy? (I was told that they were investigating a 'frozen shoulder', and also looking at the 'thoracic inlet'.) I have been advised that this kind of surgery can sometimes damage the nerves giving pain and restricted movement in the shoulder - if this is indeed the cause of my problems, maybe something can be done to put it right?
