i need some advise please, my stepdad has had a penile implant the rod one, he had the operation in november 07, he had it as he had his bladder removed due to cancer and this caused him to have ED he was told he was in full remission but since the implant he has had really sharp almost constant pain, he can't sit down cos it hurts so much, he is hardly eating and the doctor has just started giving him morphine, both him and my mum are terrified that the cancer may be back, has anyone else that has had this implant been in so much pain afterwards?

I have no info on this and i do hope things work out for your dad. I'am looking for any info i can on implants as i'am considering haveing this done myself if you would please let me know how things go and what you find out thank you

My boyfriend had one in and after many years the rods broke and caused some pain. I don't know how much because I wasn't there. He said it felt that something was pinching him.

sorry for not updating sooner, it turned out that the pain was not due to the rods themselves, unfortunately the cancer had come back, and the rods had been pressing on it causing the pain.
he died in february :-( thanks for replying to my post, we had been very hopeful that it was just a fault with the rods.
