Unable to maintain erection for sexual intercourseHi !! I am a 31 year old male, have been dating my girlfriend for 6 months. I am having problems maintaining an erection good enough for sexual intercourse. I do get it hard while cuddling etc, but then it kinda dies away when it actually comes to having an intercourse. I ejaculate a lot of semen when my girlfriend pleasures me with a blowjob etc. So things seem to be right with the amount of semen coming out, but the penis doesn't stay hard enough for an intercourse. When i wake up in the morning, i have a very good erection before i pee, and i wish i had the same erection while having sex. But that just doesn't happen. Does anyone know what can be my problem ?
Re: Unable to maintain erection for sexual intercourseAssuming you have no other health issues like diabetes or high blood pressure it sounds like it may be in your head, especially if you have a normal erection in the morning. A trial of Viagra may help get you back on track and checking your testosterone level would be a good idea.
Re: Unable to maintain erection for sexual intercourseNo worries my friend...
I decided to admit to myself of ED when I was 26. I went to a local urologist and discussed my problems with the doctor. Initially, he was surprised with the idea that such a young person could be having problems. All tests indicated that I should have no problem performing, but when it came time to perform in the bedroom, well...we know how this story ends. After several visits with my urologist, he thought that all I needed was a boost of confidence. He gave me a few samples of Viagra and Levitra. Let me tell you, if you haven't seen a professional...you really need to! After my doctor prescribed these medicines to me (in my opinion, Levitra is superior to Viagra), my life has turned around! Not only am I able to CONFIDENTLY hold a relationship with a wonderful woman, but these medications enable you to perform better than you would have ever imagined (perhaps even better than those who don't suffer from ED). Don't let your fool you! ED may occur more with people in their 40s...but help is out there for us too!

Excellent advice! There are other drugs that are not as effective as Viagra, but can help you with your sexual performance anxiety: trazodone (an anxiety drug that also improves erections), phentolamine (Vasomax, Vigamed). There could be some side effects though, so talk to your doctor before you decide to try any of these treatments.
Re: Unable to maintain erection for sexual intercourseAnother health issue to add to the list - food intolerances, such as gluten. I know sounds really weird, but my spouse's ED has improved tremendously now that he is not eating gluten. He is following the paleo/primal diet.
