BP drugs and EDHi,
MY DH has ED caused by high blood glucose. He is getting that under control with drugs. He is also hypertensive and is on Diovan HCT. Is this one of the drugs that is known to cause ED? I think I read somewhere that this was one of the better ones for ED but it seems he was a bit better and then got much worse once he started this med. Also, how can we remain close without this part of our relationship? He wants to continue to "try" since he is sometimes successful, but when he doesn't maintain it upsets me because it reminds me of what poor health he is in. It is very scary to me! Suggestions??? Thanks
Re: BP drugs and EDDiabetes and high blood pressure are sufficient problems all by themselves to cause ED with or without medication.
As far as being close without sexual intercourse, remember that orgasm and ejaculation are usually spared even when the erections are inadequate. If that is the case here, then you may still find mutually satisfying ways of staying intimate. What he really should do is see a urologist and find out if Viagra or the new Levitra is a good choice for him or one of the other treatments. Meanwhile, he should follow his physician's advice and not play games with his medications in view of his serious medical problems. [quote] Hi, MY DH has ED caused by high blood glucose.
