Hi everyone, can you help a newbie?

I had a routine urine test and my doctor said i had blood in my urine. He sent me to a urologist and while i was there they had me give another sample of urine. I had an ultrasound of my kidneys. The results were still blood in urine and the radiologist suggested to the urologist that i go for a CT scan because they couldnt get a clear picture of my left kidney. When i was getting the ultrasound the person doing it had me reposition a little and said your left kidney just doesnt want to cooperate. Then she said left kidneys are usually a little harder to find . Is that true? Also the urologist wants me to have a cystoscopy The thought of having it done is really upsetting me. Arent there other tests they can do besides that one? I asked the nurse at the doctors office how much blood was there and she said it was a two. Does anyone know what that means? I'd appreciate any information you can give me. Thanks

I recently had 2 cystoscopies. I wouldnt worry. They are actually a pretty invasive test. My cystoscopy was virtually pain free. The dr. did not give me any medication. He had me comfortable positioned on his table before the procedure began and he made sure that he was not causing any discomfort. It felt more like pressure than pain. The procedure is also very quick. It is overy before you realize it. I would highly recommend it if you haven't gone already. Dont be scared!!!!
