Hematuria

My son was complaining of pain in the center on his stomach. I took him to the hospital, and they discovered large amounts of blood in his urine. They did xrays, ct scans and a IVP. They found nothing, just that he has blood in his urine. After 4 days in the hospital he gets discharged and referred to a kidney specialist. He was doing good with no pain for about 3 days. Now the pain is starting again. I made an appt already with the specialist.

I wish that there was a reply to this forum thread! I am also going through this same thing. My son, 14 was having large amounts of blood in the urine. His urinaylisis culture cam back low enough that it was not treatable, but they did give him antibiotics to be sure since it did come back with some bacteria.

My son is having alot of burning when urinating, frequency to go then not being able to. Any advice out there?
CT scan came back with no abnormalities.
