I promise

Post a new topicby Guest on Thu Mar 28, 2002 11:44 am

I promise I will not be asking you again. But just tell me. Is it possible not to be infected with HIV not taking any meds, have diabeties etc, and have thrush on the tounge, inner cheeks and in the throat? I have had that thrush since the begining of Jan. 2001, my possible exposure to HIV Nov 28, 2000.

Secondly, as a general rule, is it possible to have thrush that early during the infection and have negative HIV tests results, or does it in general occur late during the infection.

Thrush is seen in aids, diabetes and people who've had antibiotics or chemotherapy. ALSO thrush is diagnosed by scraping the mouth and looking at the scraping under a microscope after staining. Has that been done. As a general rule, we don't see thrush early.
