RE testing?

Post a new topicby Guest on Mon Mar 18, 2002 4:21 pm

Hello Dr.
Thank you for your quick response.
What would be things that mimic hiv?I have been tested for hep a b c, chlamydia gonerhea. I do not have medical coverage. Is what I described to you sound of concern? I know its hard and impossible to diagnose over the internet but if you could give me a list of possibilities that would be great. As I can test for those first because of no medical coverage.I didnt even know there were other sexual transmited diseases that mimic HIV?
Please help me in anyway possible,Thank you so much

Dear Stryker,
I can't speak for any of my colleagues, but I bet one of them would see you for a reduced rate or sliding scale if you asked.
I can't in good conscience list all the things that could mimic hiv. Some are benign, like a viral syndrome, some would scare you out of your wits like lupus or lymphoma (and this is <1% of what I could think of). Go see someone. You can't diagnose yourself from a website. The doctor who cares for himself, has a fool for a patient! GR
