Anyone had any success eradicating a Hydrocele?

Post a new topicby norm on Sun Sep 09, 2007 9:23 am

I have a hydrocele that appeared about 2 years ago. At the time my doctor told me it was safe and not necessary to remove it , and he said that surgery could cause complications. Since then I have seen other solutions advertised ...such as herbal , and homeopathic. However there seem to be NO verifiable testimonials regarding these supposed solutions. Has anyone out there ever had a hydrocele that had success with any other than surgery for a hydrocele?? I would appreciate geatly if anyone can help me .Thank you. Norm

All the patients I have seen only respond to surgery, you might get temporary relief by aspirating the fluid with a needle and syringe

I'm also looking for alternative treatments instead of surgery.

how long have you had your hydrocele?...and how large is it?...and has it stopped growing in size?

Mine has remained a bit larger than a golf ball for a couple years.

I had a vasectomy three years ago and was diagnosed with a hydrocele in Aug. of this year. I tried herbs, but they didn't work. My hydrocele is causing me some discomfort, physical and emotional, and I have decided to have a hydrocelectomy in January.

Please let me know the results of your surgery if you have the time. I would greatly appreciate it, since I am thinking of having the surgery myself. Thanks! Norm [moderator note: e-mail address has been removed]

Hydrocelectomy

Post a new topicby tjswan59 on Mon Dec 24, 2007 10:07 am

I'm am having my bilateral hydrocelectomy on December 26, 2007 and praying that things will go well for me. I'll come back early next year and let you all know how it went. My uroligist said my pain may not be my hydrocele and I think he trying to cover himself. I've had pain on both sides of my scrotum since August of this year. I have a very small one on my left side and a big one on my right. I have faith in God that this procedure will make me whole again. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
