Hydrocele

Hi Men
I may need surgery for this hydrocele i have on my left nut my balls feel kinda heavy and sometimes i need to wear a jock. I went to the urologist last week for another issue and he wanted to know what i wanted done for the hydrocele I would like to know from you guys how was the surgery were you put out or did they just numb the area. i am 57 years old and am not worried about any one seeing this i am just wondering if i should do anything about this because of the age factor and may later on turn to cancer.
