Hydrocele

I have a small lump in my right scrotum and its hydrocele a confirmed by the doctor. It some times gives me an uneasy pain when i sit or sleep in an uncomfortable position. Is this high time to remove it? I feel very irritated by it and painful when this happens

I noticed pain and swelling in my scrotum back in August of this year and was diagnosied with a bilateral hydrocele. Ultrosound showed a small one on the left and big one on the right. Had pain at base of penis on both sides and the small one hurt more. Had a hydrocelectomy on 12/26/07 and my urologist informed me that I had a hydrocele on the right and the more painful one was a spermatocele on the left and he removed both. I'm bigger (swelling) than I was before the surgery and feeling the pain in the same area. I'm on vicodin and this is my 4th day post-surgery and I understand that I was cut in the areas that was causing me pain and I need to give it time to heal. I had a drain tube removed on 12/28/07 and I'm oozing fluid from an incision on the right side of my scrotum. I have faith that with the new year will bring me a complete rcovery. No pain, no gain.

How did this work out.
I have a hydrocele too. Sucks. My concern is that their are more that are not obvious.
My concern also is that I have reflux into the kidneys.

I'm curious how the operation worked out for you, if you did it.

I'm planning on getting this done, I can't imagine the complications that could occur from such a simple surgery.
