Hydrocele

I had had my hydrocele for 6-7 years when it started to get larger in a matter of months. In March of this year I had an operation. It is now May--8 weeks post OP and I still have or have another hydrocele I have read and been told that recurrence is rare and that it is likely. The truth is probably in the middle somewhere, but I'd like to know if I choose to have another OP what could I expect, or what should I ask for to better my odds that it won't come back.
