Banking Sperm for Artificial Insemination

Post a new topicby binford on Sat Sep 29, 2007 2:58 pm

I was doing some research recently and found several sperm banking organizations that have a service whereby you can store up sperm over time for use in artificial insemination. Basically, you can keep contributing to your supply until you have ample sperm for insemination. I recently had a semen analysis done and have 4.8 million sperm with normal motility. My fertility doctor said that my only option was Invitro, but I'm wondering if the sperm bank service is a viable alternative given the condition of my sperm, and if anyone else has entertained a service like this for IUI or any other procedure. Is In-Vitro really my only option?

Thanks!
