Infertility

Post a new topicby Guest on Fri May 03, 2002 3:40 pm

I have been trying to get pregnant for a while. I had a PaP done a while back and it showed that I had Chlamydia and I went to the health clinic and they told me that they could clear it up with one dose of medicine, so i believed the nurse and i haven't been back to the doctor in about 2 years now. How long does it take for a women to become infertile with Chlamydia, and can you get Chlamydia from kissing because of the salava in their throat and those germs are passed on to you. And if you have Chlamydia and not know it for three years or more and has only been intimate with one person for two or three years, shouldn't they have chlamydia too, if the both of you go get checked out. If a woman is infertile from chlamydia is there any type of medicine that can help her become fertile again.

Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted disease that can be silent for months to years not only in the woman but also in a man .It can scar the internal organs causing infertility. I would go to the doctor for another culture and see if he would want to take tests to determine if the internal organs are normal.
