Irregular Periods

Hi i'm 21yrs and i hardley ever get a period may be once every 6 months i went to get a scan done and everything insided was fine but that was it there was nothing ever else done about it! what sort of thing's could this mean? Is this bad not to get them on a monthly bases? And what can i do about it?

It is probably because your hormones are imbalanced.It is better for your body ie: bones and lining of the uterus to get more frequent periods .I would consider hormone pills given by your doctor.

Oh well thats a sign of releif..... ok if it's not good for the lining of the uterus well that have any bad effects? For instance will that leasen the changes of child bearing? or cause any thing cancerus?
