Prostatitis and blockage of vas deferens

Post a new topicby howie79 on Wed Dec 05, 2007 6:09 pm

I´m diagnosed with prostatitis and one blocked and one partially blocked vas deferens. My last SA showed the following results:

4 ml
10 mill/ml
19% motility
6% moving fast
1% normal morphology (strict Kruger)
85% live cells
6 mill leukocytes pr ml

Is there any other treatment to prostatitis than antibiotics?

I`m told to ejaculate frequently to "blow out" the blockage in the vas deferenses, is this likely to help?

Does low normal morphology affect the success rates for IVF with ICSI?

Can retrieving sperm cells surgically give better chances for pregnancy with ICSI (I`m told that the leukocytes may cause defects the sperm, and since my infection is in the prostate I`m wondering if it is likely that the leukocytes appears through the fluid from the prostate, and therefore won`t be a problem with surgical retrievement of sperm - before the fluid joins the sperm cells)

Hope anyone knows some answers to my questions:-)
