slow liquification

Post a new topicby medic247 on Thu Jan 03, 2008 12:20 am

Hello I am 27, and my husband is 39. We have been trying to have a child for the past year and a half, but no luck. I have two children from a previous marriage, and my husband has four children from previous relationships( we all make mistakes). Anyhow I had a full infertility work up done, and everythings came back normal. My husband had a semen analysis done, and it showed that his semen took 45 minutes, and was still very viscous. His motility rate was only 22, but everything else was fine. I understand that if his semen isn't liquifying then of course his motility is going to be low. My question is what would cause something like this? Is there anything we can try at home (vitamins, herbs etc.) Is there any hope that we will conceive a child together? We made an appointment with a specialist, but they can't get us in until March. Please help we are desperate. Any suggestions?
