Hi. I am a 43 year old female just diagnosed with IC On one hand, I was happy to finally have a doctor that understood my pain and could explain why I was having such pain but on the other hand, after reading all the forum comments, it has created much worry and anxiety I am to take a high dose of antibiotics for 2 weeks and also begin the Emirol (2/day) for 6 mos. I am also in the process of changing my diet. My pain comes and goes... some days it is terrible and other days it is tolerable. I've been treated for 6 bladder infections in the last 12 mos. not realizing it was IC Any words of encouragement or helpful hints would be much appreciated. I read one comment from someone that described the pain perfectly about riding the boys bike and falling onto the bar. That is the exact pain and from what I've read from others, the pain only gets worse? Gosh I hope not. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
