Interstitial Cystitis

Hi everyone, I am being treated right now for IC with prosed and atarax, IC diet, and vaginal exercises three times a week, since August 08. I am going next wednesday for a cysto with hyperdilitation for possible conferment of my IC diagnosis.
I have had pelvic, rectal, vulva, stomach, lower back, leg pain, massive pressure in the vaginal area for months now....I had a hysterectomy with uterus and right ovary out, nov 2004, due to endo and adhesions, and not stopping bleeding 6 months after c section birth of my one and only daughter. in the last year my symptoms have gotten much worse, so i finally had the other ovary out because gyn thought this was causing all the pain/pressure/discomfort. well in july 08 had left ovary out with lysis of adhesions to bladder, cystoscopy with diagnosis from my gyn "hypervascularity of bladder lining_, during the surgery "they" tore me with the retractor from the urethral opening down into the vaginal entrance, NOT PRETTY OR NICE, well i then had a major flare!!! between recoving from the surgery, the tear and a flare, let me tell you, I had an awful summer. needless to say, referred to a uro, had my first visit in august and prescribed the prosed, atarax and ic diet, and told me it definitly sounds like i have IC, and will do cysto next week. Well, anyways, i have been following the IC diet pretty closely, not all the way, and I had a roastbeef sandwich on sunday "loaded" and i am paying big time!!! I do not know anyone else who has this, so i am stumped, lost, lonely, have millions of questions!!! My poor husband, no sex in over a year, yes a year, and he is great, but its my guilt that is killing us, its way too much to handle!!
my main question is does/has anyone experienced rectal pain from this???? I also have IBS since teens i am 41 now, diagnosis IBS GERD HX ENDOMETRIOUS AND ADHESIONS, SI JOINT DYSFUNCTION FROM A FALL AT 18YO, REPEATED LOWER BACK INJURIES, ( I AM A NURSE) SUSPECTED PELVIC FLOOR DYFUNCTION 2006, ONE PREGNANCY WITH IVF, wondering if all the hormones did not help either, HTN ANXIETY
I actually feel my rectal pain/pressure/discomfort is one of my major flare up symptoms, along with vulva burning, pain, and vaginal pressure, at times i feel like i am kicking my bladder around as i walk, i just went back to work as a nurse and its not good.....one day at a time.
any comments, suggestions, would be greatly appreciated. sorry so long, but i am just so lost about this, and need any info i can get!!!

I just joined this today, after a huge flare up after almost 2 years' peace after my cysto c hydro. The only things different between you and me are the tear and c-section (luckily not the 1 year thing)! I too am a nurse, and have dubbed IC as "Nurse's Bladder". I have had all of the problems in your list. The IBS, the hysterectomy, the endometriosis c many lysis of adhesion sx. I have had the rectal/vulvar pain steadily for the past 48 hrs. Going to MD tomorrow. Pain is 7:10 as a baseline with flares 9:10. I saw your post is quite old, but I hope you're still around. I have so much in common with you and you have no need to feel alone. Hope to hear from you.
