scared to death I've got itI am 23 years old. In January I was diagnosed with a UTI. I took my meds for a couple of days but was having horrible side effects from the antibiotic so discontinued it as soon as I felt better, which was about 3 or 4 days. The UTI came back and I was once again diagnosed with it, and given a different antibiotic and took the entire course. I felt better for a couple of days, then the feeling came on again. I went back to a doctor, expecting the same thing to happen all over again but the test came out negative. I went to another doctor, the tests came out negative, culture too. I have been going to the bathroom once per hour. I'm drinking tons of water, trying to clear it up, but it never really feels like everything is being voided when I go to the bathroom. This is getting sooo annoying. I do not have any burning, but there are times when my bladder feels pressure to the point where I start to get very aggrivated, because I can never make enough come out to feel better and it just won't go away.
I'm going to yet another doctor in 2 days, who said she'll decide whether to do a cystoscopy (sp?) I'm terrified I have IC because there does not seem to be a cure. If there are no ulcers or bleeding in the bladder does that rule IC out?
