kidney biopsy

Post a new topicby maddad353 on Tue Mar 25, 2008 11:56 am

I had a biopsy on my kidney after my radio frequency surgery because they thought it was back and bigger. But they say it was unbiopsable. how can that be? The dr who done the biopsy said he got enough so that he didnt need do do any slides. I don't understand how they can not biopsy it when it takes so little tissue. Could it be scar tissue and they cant tell? I am wondering if i should have another one done. My dr wants to wait 3 month and do another ct scan and when i ask will it be ok till then all he says is i hope so cross your fingers. I only have the one kidney. If there was cancer is there a possilbe chance for kidney transplant?

I think you need to get a second opinion by a specialist. It's your life and you need to be agggressive. I
