Kidney Cancer

My Dad is 73. He had his right kidney removed 10 days ago. He has had a lot of swelling the past 7 days. Is this normal?

For me it was. I had my Kidney taken out laproscopocly 5 1/2 years ago at age 59 and the swelling did not fully go down for almost a year. At 10 days out I was still in a lot of pain. Good luck to your Dad. Hopefully he will have the same experiences as me. Read my column 5 years and counting.
