Confused treatment

I been having stones for a long time, and in 2004 a doctor decided to do the Percutaneous Nephrostolithotomy (PCN)procedure, saying that, my stone was too hard and big to be treated by a Litotryper. The surgery was a fiasco, besides the infection that I had for several months, he told me that he was unable to catch the stone, but only 30% of it (why he did that them?)…

I can't help you with different antibotics. But i know that I am getting a laparoscopic partial nephrectomy that will take out a stone that is in the outer part of my kidney so it will never pass on its own. If you have a kidney infection you need to continue to take your antibotics all of your antibotics you can not stop taking them until they are all gone. If you stop in the middle becasue they "aren't working" you are making it worse.
Hopefully when you see the uroligst they will recommend a treatment that will work and or an antibotic to try.
