Kidney Stones

I have suffered with kidney stones for the past 9 years. The first time was because of an over active parathyroid, or after surgery it turned out to be 2 of them. 7 years went by kidney stone free, then I got all the symptoms with excruciating pain just over 18 months ago. I know what you mean. I had a parathyroid tumor that was removed a few years back. The doc said that the tumor was causing a lot of calcium in my body and it probably was causing my stones. Well, I still had stones and they needed to come out, some small, some large.....well, here it is 4/27/09 and I am having an attack. Looks like one of them is on the move. Like you, I am very tired of this. I have had Lipsotripsy on each stone with a stent. It seems to happen to me every 2 years. I am about to take a gun to my head, t

I am still having pain in my right side 3 months after having surgery. How was your experience with the surgery?I am sorry to hear that you are still going through so much pain.

I had a 9mm plus 3 other large stones in my left side. Four shots of morphine and it didn't even touch the pain I was experiencing. I was given a more powerful narcotic which meant a night in the hospital. A stent was inserted to help eleviate the pain so I could go home with a light dose of pain medication. One day later I was back in for the lipsotripsy. Two days later I got an infection which put me back down for another week. I am feeling better right now, but this was the worse attack I have had and plan on following a strick diet....I DON'T WANT THIS AGAIN! I felt so bad I wanted to die!
