My granddaughter, 12 years old, has cerebral palsy and is wheelchair bound. She has suffered many urinary tract infections in her lifetime. She has been in pampers from day one of her birth but has never had diaper rash which is a compliment to her parents who strive to keep her clean and dry. She cannot speak so, therefore, her parents don’t know she has another infection until they detect the distinct odor (like paper-mill smell) and darkness of her urine.
