“I’ve Gotta Go”

Our daughter is seven and has just recently started needing to urinate several times an evening. Usually it is just the tiniest bit, but she must be getting the sensation that she really needs to go. The problem is this frequency usually happens at night, just as she is lying down to go to bed, and at bathtime, right after she has stepped into the bathtub. There is a syndrome called Extraordinary Urinary Frequency that some children develop. It is usually self limiting and goes away on its own. The paper about this syndrome was written by Dr. Bloom of the University of Michigan. It is important to have your daughter checked, you might want to consider a pediatric Urologist or one that has an interest in pediatrics. Good luck.
