Alanis is truly a miracle child to me. I already had 3 kids, all healthy, when I found out I was pregnant with alanis. I had my first ultrasound at 9 weeks. I knew something was wrong when the doctor called me back to his office. He said that something was wrong with her bladder but they weren’t sure what. Thank you for sharing your story - it let me know that this condition does exist and that eventually I would be able to track down information! My granddaughter underwent surgery for this condition recently and your post on this was very helpful (and she underwent laproscopic surgery which corrected it). My difficulty in finding more information on this subject was in how this word is spelled and the internet search engines weren't suggesting the real spelling. I tried: intasuseption, intassuseption, etc ... The correct spelling is INTUSSUSCEPTION (blockage of the intestine). Hope this information helps.
