10 year old and Mother needs help

Post a new topicby concerned mom on Fri Mar 14, 2008 12:44 pm

I have a ten year old daughter that has lost all her self respect. She urinates on herself at school, home anywhere. She truely hates this and it's embarassing for both of us but we have no idea of what to do. I've taken her to doctors ranging from Lexington ,KY. to Memphis, Tenn. Everyone says the same thing, theres no physical reason for this. But she insist that she can't help it. She feels the urge but she can't get there in time. As a child this has to be horrible and as her mother it's discouraging. IF ANYONE HAS ANY ADVICE PLEASE POST. We need help.

She could benefit from behavioral therapy and biofeedback or use of an overactive bladder medication. If she drinks a lot of soda and fruit juice, these should be avoided and only drink water or milk.
