14 year old BOY with Hematuria

Post a new topicby soon2bmommy on Fri Apr 03, 2009 11:20 am

Last Friday, my 14 year old started to urinate blood. Took him to ER. Diagnosed with acute Hematuria It cleared up some over weekend. Now along with the bleeding, he contantly has to go to the bathroom, frequency to go is there, but he unable to urinate. When he does it is painful and burns.

His culture came back for ecoli at 33,000. Not treatable they said.
Monday, the bleeding came back, but much worse. Pain was not managable. They prescribed him antibiotics and something for bladder irritability.

We then were in touch with a resident from urology

They are saying that he is going through puberty and shedding his urethra lining? Almost mimicking a woman's monthly cycle?

Has anyone EVER heard of this? Please help!!!

He has yet another trip to the drs monday. With a urologist
